My name is Alex Wilhelm, and I have owned and raced Toyota MR2s since 2005. At that time I was studying Mechanical Engineering at Montana State University in Bozeman (graduated in ’07), and was involved in the Formula SAE program. Over the winter of 2007-2008, I took what I had learned designing suspension for our FSAE car and began to apply it to the MKII MR2, initially by measuring and analyzing the suspension geometry. Links to the forum posting and ensuing discussion of that analysis can be found in my Suspension Analysis section.
Wilhelm Raceworks grew out of a desire to correct the shortcomings that were revealed by that suspension analysis, and in 2010 I launched my Suspension Geometry Kit. Other products have followed, but over the years one thing has remained constant: Every product I sell was developed for and tested on my own personal cars, and I personally use every product that I sell.
